Keeping Company With God.

Prayer is a conversation with God. We talk honestly and we listen attentively. You can begin as simply as you like: by simply beginning to talk with God or you can use any of the Psalms or the Lord’s Prayer as a guide.

Preparation

• Show up honestly — Don’t worry about saying the “right” words—just come as you are. Whether you feel full of faith or full of doubt, God meets you in the real, unfiltered stuff of life.

• Slow down and tune in — Before you start speaking, take a moment to be still. Breathe. Become aware of God’s presence. Let silence settle your soul before you rush into words.

• Keep it simple, keep it real, keep it up — Prayer isn’t about performance—it’s about relationship. Speak to God like you would a close friend. Be consistent, even when you don’t feel like it. Over time, prayer becomes less of a duty and more of a lifeline.

Guided Prayer

5 minutes | Let’s take a moment to pause. Breathe in deeply, and as you exhale, let go of the distractions, the worries, the to-do lists. Become aware of God’s presence—He is here, closer than your own breath. Now, in the quiet of your heart, bring to mind one thing you’re grateful for. Thank Him for it. Next, is there anything heavy on your heart? A burden, a need, a longing? Offer it to Him, knowing He listens, He cares. Now, simply sit with Him. No need to fill the silence—just rest in His love. And as you go, may you carry His peace, His presence, and His voice with you. Amen.
