Resources

We believe family ministry begins with equipping parents to raise their children in the Way of Jesus.

Raising kids in Halifax can feel complex and demanding, especially in a cultural moment where faith does not always come with easy answers. Yet we trust that God meets us in these challenges with grace and strength. He has entrusted us with this beautiful responsibility, and He is faithful to equip us every step of the way.

That is why we are committed to partnering with you by curating thoughtful, trusted resources to help you disciple your children in everyday life, right here in our city.

We also believe this calling is meant to be lived out in community. Parenting was never meant to be done alone. We are committed to creating spaces where families can connect, support one another, and share life together as part of the wider church family. Together, we seek to pass on the love of God in Jesus to the younger generation.

We are deeply grateful for the privilege of walking alongside you as we invest in the lives of our children. We pray with confidence that God will do immeasurably more than all we can ask or imagine in our families, our church, and our city (Ephesians 3:14–21).

Halifax

β€œCITIES HAVE MORE OF THE IMAGE OF GOD PER SQUARE INCH THAN ANY OTHER PLACE ON EARTH.”

WHY RAISING KIDS IN HALIFAX CAN SUPER-CHARGE THEIR FAITH.

Many of us have grown up being told that cities are one of the hardest and most difficult places to raise children. While there are many unique challenges presented in an urban context, we believe cities like Halifax can be a very healthy place to raise children, especially when it comes to their faith.

Child Dedication

Child dedication is a commitment by the parents and the church to provide an opportunity for the child to know and experience what it means to follow Jesus.

As parents, being part of a loving church family can help you raise your children in the Way of Jesus. Child dedication is a moment where parents publicly name their desire to form their children in the values of God’s kingdom. It is also a shared moment for the churchβ€”to stand with parents and caregivers, committing to be a community that nurtures faith, encourages growth, and seeks the flourishing of families together.
