Kids church MINISTRY VALUES
At Halifax Church, we are committed to creating a nurturing environment rooted in Jesus-centred values that guide how we serve and care for each child. We embrace humility by learning from one another and striving to love as Christ loves us. With faith, we trust in Jesus, confident that He is at work in everything we do. Out of love, we dedicate ourselves to helping others experience the fullness of God’s affection. Our ministry is a place of safety, where physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being are prioritized, allowing each child to feel free to be themselves. And finally, we celebrate joy, delighting in the knowledge that our heavenly Father is always with us.

NURSERY (0-24 MONTHS)
PRESCHOOL (2-3 YEARS)
PRE/PRIMARY (4-5 YEARS)
GRADES 1-5 (GRADES 1-3 & 4-5 SMALL GROUPS)
Sundays in Kids Church
Each Sunday morning, our children have a time of worship, teaching, sharing, learning, and praying in the presence of the Holy Spirit. The rhythm of the day is uniquely catered toward each age group.
Check-in opens 15 minutes prior to the main service start time.
Volunteers Who Are Invested
We call ourselves Kids Church because we believe children aren’t just being cared for during the service; they are participating in the life of the church in a way that’s shaped uniquely for them. Kids Church is a space where children worship, learn about Jesus, build relationships, and discover that they belong to God and to this community, just like everyone else. And while your child’s most significant relationship is with you at home, they have a better chance of understanding life-changing truths when multiple influences are all reinforcing the same thing. That’s why our volunteers are trained and equipped to share the love of Jesus and embody God’s delight in every child. Our volunteers are like shepherds and mentors for our kids, desiring to see each child grow in their love for God.
Safety is our priority
We ensure every child’s safety and security under our care through multiple security systems. All of our volunteers are cleared through background checks and given classroom safety training. Additionally, we have an easy check-in platform that you sign into each time you attend church. All parents/guardians are given a security sticker when checking their children into Kids Church and must present it upon picking up their child. No child will ever be released without the parent/guardian presenting the security sticker.
