Our leadership team is made up of elders, staff and lay leaders who help guide and care for our church community. Here are some stories of who we are, what we do, and where we come from.
Pastoral Team
Timothy & McCaila Andrews
lead pastorsOur Lead Pastors are animated by a longing to see everyday ordinary people formed in the Way of Jesus. They carry a steady, hopeful vision for what the church can become, calling us toward a community that reflects God’s kingdom in Halifax as it is in heaven.

Timothy and McCaila both grew up outside of Ottawa, Ontario, and have known each other since high school. From their early twenties, they have shared a deep sense of calling toward church planting, and have both served local churches across Canada and the United States.
In addition to leading and shepherding Halifax Church pastorally, Timothy and McCaila both serve as elders leading and guiding the church as co-equal partners.
Both Timothy and McCaila hold Bachelor’s degrees in Religion as well as Master’s degrees in Theology. They have developed important weekly family rhythms over the years–their weekly date nights are non-negotiable, and every Friday is their Sabbath. At home, Timothy and McCaila are avid espresso drinkers, readers, makers, and creatives. They enjoy being outside, whether it’s paddleboarding, surfing, or just wandering the city streets, and love discovering hidden corners, neighbourhood cafés, and new ice cream shops.

Lindsay Hart
Family & Community PastorOur Family & Community Pastor is deeply passionate about the transforming work of God’s Spirit in each of our lives. She believes that every person, at every age, can experience a deep and abiding intimacy with Jesus, and that each of us has a meaningful role to play in the ongoing story God is writing among us.

Lindsay grew up in Ontario with her husband and high school sweetheart, Devin. Together with their three amazing kids, they’re grateful to be on this adventure as a family. Before joining our team, she served in Campus Ministry and as a youth pastor at The Meeting House. Stepping into this role was an easy “yes” after this community became such a clear answer to prayer for their family.
Lindsay oversees Kids Church, Student Ministry, and other key areas of church life. She loves creating spaces where everyday ordinary people can share their real lives and make room for God to move in meaningful ways.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology with a minor in Religious Studies and a Master of Divinity (Pastoral Studies), though much of her best learning happens around a table with honest conversation and laughter. Their family has fallen in love with Nova Scotia, and it is their deep joy to be part of this church family.

Deidra Hudgins
prayer & Care PastorDeidra is semi-retired from a lifetime of faithful service in the medical field in Nova Scotia. In this new season, she has joined the team as our lay Prayer and Care Pastor. She serves with deep compassion and calling, offering prayer, presence, and steady support to those in need. We’re grateful for the wisdom and care she brings to our church family.

Deidra grew up in Moncton, NB, and has called Timberlea, NS, home for over 30 years. She is married to Frank, a former pastor, and together they have three adult children and five grandchildren. A semi-retired community nurse, Deidra loves lifelong learning, exploring topics from theology to nutrition and spiritual growth.
She and Frank have served in four churches across Nova Scotia, including one in Timberlea, and are grateful to be called back to this community. Deidra enjoys leading small groups where Bible study, prayer, and committed community flourish. She has a heart for listening, encouraging, and walking alongside others through all of life’s seasons.
Outside ministry, Deidra and Frank enjoy exploring logging roads, walking, camping, snowshoeing, swimming, reading, and jigsaw puzzles. She is deeply grateful to serve as Pastor of Care and Prayer, bringing discernment, compassion, and spiritual guidance to our church family.

Advisory Team
Halifax Church is guided by an advisory team made up of individuals with diverse backgrounds and skill sets. They bring deep integrity, wisdom, experience, and spiritual maturity, and are actively engaged in what God is doing in and through our community. Together, they prayerfully provide guidance and discernment for all that happens in and through the ministries of Halifax Church.
* We are currently in the process of transitioning to a governing board of elders that will be voted on by our members. This change will take effect May 01, 2026.
